At The Corner Store Network, we believe in social justice and human rights. We empower communities by putting an earned dollar in a person’s pocket through ethical coffee trade, food preservation and climate action, with a focus on preserving the planet for future generations. We believe that by creating practical and local solutions to global issues, we’re taking real action to ensure that every person globally has economic, social and environmental justice.

Corner Store Coffee is about producing coffee for those who want their coffee to create real social impact while also tasting delicious. Our coffee is sourced directly from more than 650 subsistence coffee farmers in Timor-Leste, who produce the coffee cherry using 100% organic farming methods on small-holder farms. We purchase these green beans directly from the communities and pay 17% above average international fair-trade prices. We then small batch roast the coffee in our micro roastery in Oakleigh, Melbourne.


With an aim to reduce food waste and build engaged local communities, we run community preserving sessions where volunteers attend and preserve produce that has been donated and harvested from around the local area, saving it from ending up rotting on the ground or in landfill. The jams, pickles and chutneys are distributed, with a portion sold to keep the program financially sustainable. A portion is also returned to the grower and a portion donated to local food relief agencies. We are creating the same model in Timor-Leste.


We work to ensure that all our products and processes contribute to the sustainability of our planet by supporting WithOneSeed, a community forestry program in the mountains of Timor-Leste. We plant a tree for every kilo of coffee that we roast, we package in home compostable packaging and we offset our footprint, proudly a carbon negative enterprise.
