delicious. has revealed the 2022 delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards National Finalists, with 24 producers shortlisted across categories of Dairy, Earth, Paddock and Sea.
The 2022 Produce Awards focuses on Australia’s best producers – the people who grow, cultivate, harvest and catch the produce supplied to our top chefs and hospitality venues.
“This year, we want to discover the producers who are making waves, changing the conversation and disrupting the status quo with sustainable food-production practices,” says delicious. Editor-in-Chief Samantha Jones. “We want to recognise the producers who are making an impact and who stand out from the crowd for the way they pursue food production, cultivation, harvest or wild-catch practices.
“We are acknowledging producers with a focus on environmental sustainability, provenance, species diversity, preservation and collaboration with the local community.”

The 2022 National Finalists were decided by nominations from some of Australia’s best chefs, who have chosen producers leading the field in their production ethos and practices and for the top-quality produce it results in.
“I feel so proud to be part of these awards,” says National Judge Matt Moran. “It’s always a lot of fun, and each year I’m blown away by the quality of produce that we taste. It’s vital that we shine a light on the producers that work tirelessly to deliver outstanding produce.”
Now in its 17th year, the annual delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards is known for unearthing and championing Australia’s best primary and artisan food producers.
“Since 2005, the delicious. Produce Awards has been at the forefront of recognising the unsung heroes behind our top chefs and restaurateurs – Australia’s finest producers – and educating our readers on why it’s so important to #knowyourproducer,” says delicious. Editorial Director Kerrie McCallum. “It’s so vital to support our farmers and small producers, many of whom have been affected by severe drought, devastating bushfires, COVID-19 and now the floods in Northern New South Wales and Queensland.”
On Wednesday, the national judging panel met in Sydney to taste the National Finalists’ produce and decide the 2022 Trophy Winners, as well as the 2022 Producer of the Year. Winners will be announced in the September issue of delicious., on sale August 18.
