Taste Bundaberg Festival now on sale
Bundaberg is setting the table in preparation for the return of Taste Bundaberg Festival. It’s the annual celebration of all things food and drink in the home of some of Australia’s biggest culinary brands. The region’s agricultural and culinary industries didn’t miss a beat during 2020. Despite COVID disruptions, they continued to grow 25 percent of Australia’s fresh produce. And now, the little region feeding the nation is ready to party. Ten days of more than 20 unique culinary experiences are on offer. And all will be plating up the freshest of dining delights in iconic locations around the region. Bundappétit!

Highlights include Pop Up Polo, the inaugural Banquet on the Bridge, festival favourite Chilli and Lime Fiesta at Riverfeast, the Festival Farmers Markets and the Farm Flavours Picnic.
Celebrity chef Poh Ling Yeow will bring fresh new eyes to the event. She’ll be working with one of Bundaberg’s top restaurants to deliver a multi-course celebration of location food and drink across the first weekend. Yeow will also be hosting cooking demonstrations.

Another culinary star attending will be Mark Olive (AKA “The Black Olive”, above). Australia’s illustrious Indigenous chef will, along with Bundaberg’s own Joey Caruana from the Windmill Cafe, showcase authentic local cuisine at Bundaberg’s inaugural Mon Repos First Nations Dinner. Expect an evening of culture, community and togetherness.

Major festival events will include:
Farm Flavours Picnic
One of the festival’s most popular events, the iconic Farm Flavours Picnic returns for another tasty year. Sample the very best in food and drinks made in the region, sharing a picnic basket for two under the shade of macadamia groves while listening to live music.

Banquet on the Bridge
Take a step back in time with a unique dining experience on the iconic Burnett Traffic Bridge. The historic landmark will be covered in twinkling lights; the tastes of the region will be celebrated in high fashion, with a multi-course meal as well as local drink pairings.

Taste Farmers’ Market
Bundaberg is Australia’s most prolific food bowl. The region’s biggest annual farmers’ market will be showcasing the passionate producers who spend their days growing the fresh ingredients found in cafes, restaurants and supermarkets all over the nation.
The Taste Bundaberg Festival will run from Friday, June 11 to Sunday, June 20. For more information and to buy tickets, head to tastebundabergfestival.com.au
